And even if you do live under a rock, I would argue that the EPA has probably found a way to somehow find its way into your Sunday morning conversations over a cup of coffee. It’s no secret that the world of diesel is changing. From increasing regulations from various alphabet agencies to more stringent hoops to jump through by OEMs, the world of diesel is evolving, and I have a feeling it will continue to do so in the next few decades. C.A.R.B. compliance, emissions in place, tuning, and even new aftermarket parts that solve common failure points with some of these systems are just a few things I can only imagine will be conversations in the coming months, so navigating those could be a bit troublesome. Subscribe Our Weekly Newsletter I’m not sure what this means for the performance industry, but I do know this: In the face of some of the biggest challenges come some of the greatest triumphs, and I think there’s a lot to learn here. While electric trucks may not be the answer, there is a lot of viability in the diesel hybrid world. Companies like Edison Motors for example, are on what I can only assume is the cutting edge of the next generation of mid-duty and heavy-duty diesel trucks. Regardless of what happens, one thing is for sure: We’ll be here right alongside you guys. Navigating the ever-changing landscape of the diesel industry is just a small part of what we do here at Diesel World mag, and we’ll continue to do just that. Until then, we’ll keep doing what we’re doing—covering cool trucks with great build stories, and working with kick a** companies that embody what the diesel world is really about.
