The End of Summer: Projects, Events, and What’s Still to Come

How is summer almost over already? For those of you who are in a northern state like I am here in Wisconsin, you probably already realize that we’re only a few short months from Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and of course, Christmas. It’s a crazy thing to say and even crazier thing to read, but before you write an angry letter to Diesel World (do people even write in to magazines anymore?) let me explain where I’m going with this.

Up here, our summers are always jam-packed. Something about only having a few months of really good weather causes us to go wild, slamming events and truck projects into every weekend and every spare hour that we can. It seems like from the time the sun rises on April 1 to the time the first snowflake falls in December we’re running like mad trying to live as much as we can before the weather inevitably shuts us in again.

Still, through all the chaos, I hope your year has been as good as mine has. For me, it’s been an incredible summer of learning, shooting some incredible content, doing some much needed part installs on the LBZ (you’ll see more of those in the coming months with tech articles so stay tuned) and of course, enjoying some of the amazing diesel events that take place every year.

So whether your weather is just getting started or you’re closing the chapter on a wonderful summer, I hope each and every one of you had an incredible few months. Here’s to the next month, to the next projects, and most importantly, to keeping diesel trucks alive.

Until the next one,

Dustin aka Dusti_LBZ
